Massages and treatments

Massage during pregnancy is great for relieving pain in the lower back, sciatic nerve, neck, shoulders and legs. At Nordik, we developed a special massage for expectant mothers, focusing on its specific needs. It is performed while lying on the side, with several cushions for maximum comfort.

A pregnant woman can also enjoy some of our body treatments, those who do not require lying on her stomach. Available treatments are our face, foot and Lumëa treatments.

Källa treatment

The Källa treatment frees the mother from a much heavier body while providing the extraordinarily intimate experience of floating weightless with her child. It also has very practical benefits for both mother and baby:

  • Relaxing in Epsom-saturated water reduces muscular and joint tension caused by pregnancy.
  • Epsom salt is made from magnesium, an essential mineral for cell growth, function, and renewal.
  • Peace and relaxation experienced by the mother are also completely felt by the child she is carrying.

For mothers interested in natural approaches to birth, Källa can be grouped among the preparatory techniques for giving birth that also include visualization, yoga, and acupuncture.

Källa is a large salt water pool dug 5 meters deep into the rock. Filled with water saturated to 12% of Epsom salt, Källa invites you to the extraordinary experience of weightlessness in the quiet atmosphere of its underground location. More information
