Our Saunas

8 Unique Saunas

Since the very beginning of the Nordik Spa-Nature adventure, its experienced team of well-being experts have scoured the world in search of heat therapy discoveries. Thanks to their many exploratory journeys, they can now offer a thermal experience orientated towards new trends while preserving authenticity worthy of the purest traditions.

The eight saunas at Nordik Spa-Nature are inspired by Nordic and Mediterranean traditions. The Finlandia, Barik, Maa, Tuli, Aromi, and Banÿa saunas are drawn from the Nordic dry sauna tradition. They encourage relaxation and vivacity.

The Vaporo steam sauna is inspired by the Mediterranean steam bath tradition. It purifies the body and invites you to relax.

This sauna’s steam is obtained by pouring water over a brick stove or heated stones in the centre of the sauna. It offers a perfect balance between dry heat and humid steam. It encourages blood circulation and deeply cleanses the skin. The temperature can rise to 100 °C.

FINLANDIA SAUNA

Discover a completely renewed experience!

The sauna is a social tradition that has existed for over 2000 years in Nordic countries, especially in Finland. As its name suggests, the Finlandia sauna is part of the purest Nordic sauna tradition. Set up in a spacious, solid-wood building, Finlandia has three tiers of benches to vary your exposure to the heat. The highest level is also the hottest.

More than a ton of stones radiate heat, generated by a high-performance wood stove, which is installed in the wall facing guests. Our relaxation artisans regularly place balls of ice infused with essential oils on the stove to alternate the essences. Thanks to its large capacity and its traditional design, the Aufguss ritual is performed at Finlandia every day.

Enjoy all the benefits of various essential oils from infusions created by our sauna meisters throughout the day.

Important work has been done to offer this sauna an important cure of rejuvenation and embellishment.

Discover the Aufguss ritual as you have never experienced. A creative and even more spectacular experience.

Every day, complimentary rituals are performed in the Finlandia sauna. The schedule is available at its entrance.

It has a lower temperature, meaning that you can enjoy the landscapes, scents, and lights it offers for a longer time. Endowed with impressive windows, you can admire the gorgeous view of the surrounding forest and the distant city, all while breathing in the aromas, which change every 20 minutes.

TULI SAUNA

Meditative Sauna

In Finnish, “Tuli” means fire. This meditative dry sauna is made entirely from solid wood and has a green roof. The green roof serves as natural insulation while perfectly integrating this sauna into its surrounding environment. Its octagon shape and central wood stove lends itself naturally to meditation. The heat currents, radiating from the centre, roll across the ceiling and down the walls.

Place your back against the wall and the heat wave will caress your spine to enhance relaxation throughout your nervous system. Sitting cross-legged or stretched out, you stare at the flames of the central fire to practise one of the most ancient human traditions: sitting in a group around a fire. The hypnotizing effect encourages internal reflection, and you dive into a meditative state. Next, turn your gaze towards the outside, thanks to small windows at eye level, and complete escape is guaranteed!

MAA SAUNA

Earth Sauna

“Maa” means earth in Finnish. It revives the rustic tradition of semi-interred saunas with an enclosure buried in the ground, log walls, and a green roof.

Nordik’s Maa is actually partially carved into the bedrock, giving it its nickname, “telluric sauna”. Because this sauna is in direct contact with the bedrock, it maintains elevated temperatures, made tolerable by the passage of fresh air. Enter this sauna of earth and fire and experience the full authenticity of the Nordic tradition.

Its small space, curving interior walls, and lack of windows all combine to create a space appropriate for an intensely intimate experience. Upon entering this sauna, you will feel enveloped, as though you were sheltered from the rest of the world for the next few minutes. Enjoy and live in the moment.
